Hair  Do’s  And  Dont’s

“Life isn’t perfect but your hair can be.”

Ain’t no one got time for boring hair, honestly my mood depends on how good my hair looks, you have to have fun with your hair, play with it, invest in it, it’s like a crown to your head which is gonna be with you till the end.
We all do some blunders which we never realize before suffering, good hair day is ephemeral but don’t you want good hair for the rest of your life?
 I know you do.

To that end, let’s just discuss some basic hair care do’s and dont’s.

 DO'S 😊

        1)    Drink water and eat healthy.

Drinking apt amount of water not only keeps you healthy but also contributes in hair growth. Its cheap, its healthy then why not make the most of it  lack of water has a direct impact on hair growth, believe it or not, water plays the most essential part in our lives. I know “8 glasses a day” rule is not everyone’s cup of tea but yah we can at least deal with 6 glasses a day right?

For the good hair growth eating healthy is like you’re adding diamond to your crown.

What to eat :  Amla berries, spinach, oatmeal, guava,                  nuts and seeds, sweet potatoes, eggs and everything which                      is rich in protein, Vitamin A and Vitamin C.

2)   Nourish your hair with oil.

Oiling is one of the most valuable way to nurture your hair. It makes your hair looks more lustrous instead of dried up, fights hair fall, controls frizzy hair and what not but if your skin is oily and you get breakouts after oiling then you can oil your hair 40 to 45 minutes before applying shampoo that will also works.

 3)   stick with one product.

Change is important but you should not change your hair products if they’re suiting your hair. Your hair gets the habit of that product and if you change it every month then it can lead you to the hairfall, also makes your hair rough and fragile, use a shampoo which suits your hair type.

   4) thin or wild?

Different people have different hair, to that end I have categorized hair in two types.
Some have very thin hair, habitually it sticks to your face and there is no volume, majorly your worry is hairfall however some have extra volume very frizzy and unmanageable hair.
For thin hair use acceptable shampoo which will give a nice volume to your hair and use conditioner only to the end if you want.
For wild hair use shampoo which helps you to get frizz free hair and also helps to manage them, also you need to use conditioner as well as serum for better hair.

   5)   warm or cold water?

Warm water helps in opening the pores, helps in exfoliating and also removes oil from the scalp cold water is just the opposite of warm water it closes the pores holds the moisture in your hair it leaves your hair frizz free.
So what to do now? Cold or warm?
Use both ! yes you heard it right. Use warm water at first for cleansing and conditioning so that your pores will be open and it would be easy to exfoliate the dirt and then rinse it with cold water to close the pores it will leave the hair smooth and shiny.

   6) protect from sun

If you’re out and you’re directly into harmful UVA and UVB rays then it can damage your hair. It will make your hair dry causes split ends, frizziness and hairfall.
You can wear a hat, go out early or late in the day or you can also use some hair protection sprays to put them away from the damage.

      DONT'S ! 🙅

1)  heating tools

Who doesn’t wants to flaunt their perfect slick and curls all around? But doing that day after day is the most horrible thing you can do to your hair. Majorly it makes your ends rough and causes splitends which you unquestionably don’t want, not to mention it also ceases the hair growth and volume of the hair. If there is any urgent situation or stuffs like that, use heat resistant serum or a spray to defend your hair from the heat.

   2)  Say bye to chemicals 🙋

Even though it looks great after permanent straightning or smoothning and you can go all zoop zoop and flip it all and still it looks fine and pretty but deep down you’re ruining your hair my girl. It makes your hair lifeless and causes hair fall, So go organic.

 3) Wet hair *weak hair* 😰

Never, I repeat never comb your hair when they’re wet. That’s the time when they’re at their weakest point, combing is the roughest action you can do to them when they’re defenseless to damage, moreover wait for your hair to dry naturally and then comb it

because life is weird and things change dramatically, your hair will too. just adore your hair just like you do to your face, your hair is a part of it.
i hope my blog helped you in someways.

XOXO

My visit to Jodhpur

Do you know that feeling?

Feeling you get when you're going to leave your home for almost a month on a big festival? feeling you get just the night before you're gonna leave though you're not prepared for it?
this was the time when everyone was celebrating durga puja and also it was the last garba with my friends because everyone was leaving for their further studies next year Isn’t it sad?
I really wanted to spend those days with them i was not emotionally or mentally ready for my handball national trip to jodhpur.

Then i chose my friends and family over that trip, i tried every possible way to cancel it, I made fake sick report, I took my father to talk to my coach and what not but nothing worked out, maybe it was too late.

The day I was leaving
16 october 2015

Baba bought chocolates and snacks for me, i packed my bag one hour before i was
leaving and then i gave a big hug to my friends and fam and left,  when i reached station I saw my team and everyone was so excited for the trip and I was lost thinking about zillions of things going on my mind.

And the trip starts

Our first destination was bilaspur, there we had to stay for like 6 to 7 days for our
training ( yes these days you’ll go through high level of torture by your coaches huhhh ) we had to wake up by 6 in the morning and practice till 9 then breakfast then rest for a bit and then again practice till evening, those were the days when I can’t even feel my legs but at the end of the day we enjoyed playing our game and also learnt something new from each other.

Jodhpur journey begins

Finally it was the day , it’s the time when we had to show our  hardwork and meet other teams of different states. We were so happy and excited for jodhpur we really wanted to make our school and our state to proud of us.

The worst thing happened to me
I got sick, so sick that couldn’t even move myself from one side to another. My coach took me to the doctor and guess what? I puked in her cabin 😓 i remember how i missed my family at that point of time, I couldn’t even attend opening ceremony, they use to serve my food in my bed. I cried and cried because I couldn’t play because of this sickness, i felt so bad that all my hardwork got waste. After 3 or 4 days i started feeling better and finally we were good to stroll jodhpur a bit.

We went to umaid bhawan 5 star palace
Oh my god this palace was so so beautiful just like portrayed on websites so neat, so gorgeous, so historical.

I took this picture when I saw this palace for the first time and I was all stuck, glaring that sight  it was so huge and amazing.

If you ever visit Jodhpur don't miss this place i'm telling you, you'll love it also
there are vintage cars, which i know you wanna see😉

After strolling this insane place we  went to Mehrangarh fort which is one of the largest forts in india.  it was like a heaven,  people there were greeting us by dancing in their folk styles and the view from the top, i can totally see the whole jodhpur from there.

In the entrance of the fort you'll also see this map which shows all the ways of the fort.

These are some antique weapons used by the Rajas of that time .

look at this amazing interior work of the fort ! 💛

every time i skip a beat when i think about this place.
Isn't it crazy how just a beautiful sight can make you forget all the things you've been through, these walls made me realise that sometimes you gotta sacrifice for the new world, nothing is permanent you have to move forward in life.
You'll lose people and that's the truth about life, everything happens for a good reason, make yourself so strong that no one can break you like these walls.

At last it was a great journey 💕

WADDAAAPPP??😉
here is a review of my favourite product maybelline FITme foundation. So i have been using this product since 3 months and i am totally in love with this foundation, it gives me flawless finishing and smooth skin, i am literally in love with this product 😍

POSITIVE SIDE :
Who doesn't wants a foundation which gives stunning skin, nice coverage and is also long lasting and the plus point is that it comes in different skin tones and trust me colour shades are FAAAAABULOUS.

I am using this shade, it's a little dark for my skin but wait ! who doesn't likes a little tan skin? i don't want to look white as if someone painted my face. 😂

if you have small pores or normal pores then you don't even have to apply primer before, isn't that amazing?

it is veryy light, you can easily blend it on your face. it gives you a very natural seamless matte finish.
The bottle says normal to oily but if you have a combination skin like me then also it will work wonders to your skin, and the best part of this foundation is that it does not makes your face look very cakey and it is damn light on your face.

NEGATIVE SIDE :
but one thing i don't like about this product is that it doesn't comes with a pump, which might be a little messier.
It will not give you a very high coverage, if you have big pores.
Also it is very transferable you need to set this with compact.
if your face is very very oily then oops girl you might feel different, this won't last for that long, i will not recommend this foundation for very oily skin.

WORTH MONEY?
it costs you Rs525 and trust me its worth buying, easy on your purse while travelling, and gives you long lasting fresh look.
you can easily buy this product from the site called @nykaa or any makeup store, but be aware of fake products.

i hope this blog helped you, keep supporting.

XOXO
shivani.
